London Borough of Bexley have launched an additional and selective landlord licensing consultation with all interested parties that runs until Wednesday 31 January 2018.

The council are holding the second of two property licensing forums on 17 January 2018 where anyone can come along and have their say. They want as many people as possible to take part in the survey and let them know what they think about the licensing plans. Please spread the word and pass details of this consultation to anyone who lives, works, rents or owns a property in Bexley.

They are seeking to consult with residents, tenants, landlords, resident associations, managing agents, estate agents, other London Boroughs and anyone else with an interest in the scheme. The consultation will provide the opportunity to share comments and suggestions on the proposals.

This scheme would introduce:

  • A borough-wide Additional Licensing Scheme for Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs)
  • Selective Licensing Schemes applying to all private rented properties in four defined areas: Thamesmead North, Abbey Wood, Lower Belvedere and parts of Erith.

The schemes have been designed to help reduce the levels of anti-social behaviour within those four areas and from HMOs across the Borough, as well as providing support for local tenants and landlords.

The council want your views. You can find out more and take part in the consultation at:
